Schlitterbahn
Schlitterbahn has been named the “World’s Best Waterpark” for the past 15 years in a row by Amusement Today! It’s located on 70 acres in the heart New Braunfels on the banks of the Comal River. It first opened in 1979 with 4 slides and quickly expanded to 8 tube shuts, a beach wave pool, speed slides, tube floats, 7 kids play areas, and multiple swim up bars in heated pools. Today, Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels has expanded beyond the main waterpark to 3 others areas: Surfenburg, Blastenhoff, and Tubenbach.
Since 2001, Schlitterbahn has opened 3 more parks: Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark, Schlitterbahn Kansas City, and currently under construction Schlitterbahn Corpus Christi.
