I think this just might be my kids second favorite time of year, first of course being Christmas. There are so many events going on this weekend through Halloween, I’m sure I’ve missed a few. If I missed an event you know of, please let me know and I’ll add it!
SEGUIN:
Saturday, October 26, 10AM – 6PM
The Pecan Fest Heritage Days at The Texas Agricultural Education & Heritage Center and The Big Red Barn. An array of live entertainment and activities for adults and kiddos include hayrides, Model-T rides, animals, kids games, craft and pecan vendors, demonstrations in the heritage village, silent auction, bake show contest, The Amazing Maze and the Seven Timmermann Sisters Display. Then at 1PM, everyone can join the salute to Jose Antonio Navarro and hear his story. His descendants and biographer (David McDonald who will host a book signing) will be in attendance. A traditional turkey and dressing lunch is available from 11AM to 1PM for $12 (includes admission). Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids (age 3-10). New Braunfels Farmers Market 9-1 on Casteel St. Need I say more?
The Girl Scouts are having a fall festival at the Girl Scout House, 345 Howard St. from 4-7, costume contest, food, music, jumping castles, games, pumpkin painting, silent auction, haunted house, cake walk $5-$6 for children
St. Peter and Paul Catholic church is having their fall festival starting at 5:00 with a trunk or treat, a pumpkin carving contest at 6:30, a costume contest at 7:30 and a dance from 6-9.
21st Annual Texas Clay Festival Saturday (10-6) and Sunday (10-5) in Gruene. Over 60 Texas potters and clay artists will be present, a variety of pottery can be viewed and purchased, hands on activities for kids too! Fun for all!

New Braunfels High School Student Organizations are hosting a Trick or Treat on Unicorn St, some indoor games and fun for small children, starts at 6PM.
Wednesday, October 30
Hope Hospice is hosting a Trick-or-Hope Charity Halloween Festival from 4-8 at 144 S Clemens. Face painting, various activities, music, costume contest, food, candy, etc. $5 per person or $20 group fee (4-6 people). Click here for more information.
