It’s WURSTFEST time again people! I’m not sure about you, but I’ve been counting down the days for about 3 weeks until the doors open this Friday, Nov 1, and we can eat sausage, drink German, Texan and domestic beer, listen to music and dance dance dance! The kids love the carnival rides and games. I just might be standing at the gates at 5:00 with my 3 kids saying “open open open” like that old shopping commercial a few years back on TV with the crazy lady. Yep, that’ll be me!

Food, food and more food is a must. Tons of food vendors with just about every type of meat you can imagine. It just might be the best 10 day sausage-fest in history! My husband loves the porkchop on a stick! I think it’s a favorite of everyone’s because the line is usually about 10 people deep with 5-6 rows across. The potato pancakes are a big hit too! Although I’ve never tried them, but the line speaks for itself. My kids love the fried Oreos after their dinner is had walking around eating a sausage pig-in-a-blanket. My daughters very first corn on the cob was at Wurstfest and since then she always asks for one! Dinner is a blast for my kids. So lets see…Thursday night’s activity and dinner consists of trick-or-treating and a pizza and Halloween candy with friends then Friday night’s activity and dinner will be eating a pig-in-a-blanket while walking around and dancing to German music and finishing up with fried Oreos. Yep, life is good for my 3!
